Yesterday, my family and I went to the park and the boys played some football while I got in some exercise. I walked about 2 miles is 40 minutes (I plan on eventually being able to run). I have no idea if that's good time but it's more exercise than I've done in years and my legs are feelin' it today. But I felt great. When we got back me and my youngest son did about 20 minutes of Just Dance 2 on Wii. So I feel pretty good about the exercise I got in yesterday. I love to listen to music and it helps me make my walks more exciting. My favorite is anything Katy Perry or Black Eyed Peas...I LOVE THEM and any time I hear either of those two it makes me want to dance. So that's basically what my playlist consists of with a few others in the mix. I mostly listen to modern and classic rock but I need music that'll pump me up for workouts, that's why I'm kinna lost on what else to add. Here's a sample of what I listen to while I'm walkin':
- Teenage Dream - Katy Perry
- You and I - Lady Gaga
- California Gurls - KP
- The Time - BEP
- Imma Be - BEP
- Meet me halfway - BEP
- Miss You - Rolling Stones
- Can't Get No Satisfaction - RS
- Sail - Awolnation
- Last Friday Night - DP
- Alone - Heart
So what's on your playlist?
(Sorry I haven't posted any recipes lately, my diet consists of smushed chicken and veggies right now, nothing exciting...)
Are you counting your calories or food logging? I find it reallly helps when I'm seeing gains on the scale. I use myfitnesspal.com. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think 20 minutes per mile is pretty great, considering you're two weeks post-op. I probably couldn't have walked a mile so quickly at that time! It'll get better by leaps and bounds. :)
I don't have any workout playlist ideas, sadly... I read during my workouts.
I use MFP religiously. I track everything that goes in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteDid you get my message about the book you're reading? What's the first one in the series? I like fantasy/paranormal too.
If you are doing what you are suppose to, the weight will come off. It is tough but try to be patient.
